The Catholic Church, from its very beginnings has understood and embraced the sacred symbols and sacred art as a powerful tool for the proclamation and celebration of the faith.

This retreat will give a brief overview of the role symbols and art have played in the life of the church throughout the ages.  Based on that we will then explore practical ways in which symbols and the arts may assist in the continued building-up of our church within the context of today’s very diverse and complex world.
