The Pastoral Center is a small non-profit publishing organization established approximately 15 years ago by Bill Huebsch. The Pastoral Center is in Alameda, California. Growing Up Catholic is a family catechesis program that incorporates family catechesis as a model for faith formation. Growing Up Catholic promotes parents’ involvement in faith formation by coaching parents to teach the faith to their children. Growing Up Catholic resources can be used for sacramental preparation (First Reconciliation and First Eucharist) and for ongoing faith formation. The Pastoral Center, a non-profit publishing company, received a grant from the Lilly Endowment, which enables it to offer Growing Up Catholic, a sacramental preparation program for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist, to the parishes of our diocese at no cost for two years. All you have to do is attend the information session, fill out the application form, and then attend a training with your catechists.
